The Japanese and U.S. governments are coordinating to jointly develop a successor to the T4, a training aircraft for Air Self-Defense Force fighter pilots. Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is visiting the U.S. as a state guest and aims to reach an agreement at the summit meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden scheduled for April 10 in Washington, D.C., and to specify the agreement in the outcome document.
