In an international joint investigation led by the European Police Office (Europol) with Japan's participation, major members of the international cybercrime group "LockBit" were arrested, and the servers used by the group were shut down. Europol and Japan’s National Police Agency announced it on February 20th. According to the announcement, cyber crimes by LockBit started around 2020 and the size of the damage is estimated to be several billion Euros.
