As an expert in foreign affairs and defense business, he is responsible for analysis in this field. He holds a BA and MA in Japanese Studies from the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom, and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Graduate School of East Asian Studies (GEAS) and the Otto Suhr Institute for Political Science at the Freie Universität Berlin. He assumed his current position in August 2024.
